Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan

Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan has a distinguished record of business success and public service. He has twice served as Senator and was two times elected as member of the Punjab Assembly.
Mr. Haroon has a Master of Science in Actuarial Science and Business Administration from the University of Manitoba, Canada. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (USA) and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. At the time of qualification, he became the youngest actuary in the history of the profession. Before coming back to Pakistan, he had extensive experience in the USA and Canada in corporate governance, economics, planning, and forecasting, modelling and investment.
From 2015 to 2018, he was SAPM Revenue, with the status of Federal Minister. As a Senator from 2006-2012, he served as a senior member of standing committees on (1) Finance, Economic Affairs,u Revenue, Statistics and Planning and Development; (2) Commerce; (3) Industries and Production; (4) Petroleum, Natural Resources and Minerals and (5) Sports, Culture and Tourism.
His continuous engagement with the business community and industrial leaders, spanning over three decades, has given Mr. Haroon extensive and multifaceted experience across the fields of economics, business, industry, and the public sector. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between B2B and B2G cooperation, bringing investors, industrialists, and regulators onto a common platform. Through these efforts, he has significantly contributed to strengthening investor confidence, fostering industrial partnerships, and expanding the scope and potential of industrialization.
