Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Chairs Meeting On Precious Stones Trade Sector.
The Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, chaired a meeting of the Prime Minister's Committee on Precious Stones that approved the establishment of an authority to oversee the effective use of natural resources and creation of Gemstone Export processing center. The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Abdul Aleem Khan and Jam Kamal Khan, along with relevant Secretaries and Director Generals. During the meeting, key recommendations were presented on the potential uses of precious stones in Pakistan. Recommendations to facilitate foreign investment in the Gemstone Sector were also considered. The meeting also decided to establish Gem And Jewelry City in Islamabad and to establish Gemstone And Jewelry Centers at International Airports.
