Governor Sindh Nehal Hashmi Inaugurates 23rd ITIF Asia 2026!

Karachi, May 13, 2026: The 23rd International Trade & Industrial Fair (ITIF Asia 2026) was officially inaugurated today at Expo Center Karachi by Governor Sindh, Nehal Hashmi. The three-day international exhibition, being held from May 12 to 14, has brought together leading industrialists, investors, technology experts, and business communities from Pakistan and abroad.

Chairman of the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA), Freedoon Akram Sheikh, stated that the successful inauguration of ITIF Asia 2026 and the participation of major international companies reflect the growing confidence of global investors in Pakistan’s economy and industrial sector.

A high-level delegation from the Chinese IBI Group, a major enterprise valued at 93.5 billion RMB, participated in the exhibition and signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with prominent Pakistani organizations. The agreements were signed with the Hyundai Dealers Association of Pakistan (HDAP), Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association (PPMA), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI).

Chairman EPZA Freedoon Akram Sheikh said that these agreements would pave the way for enhanced technology transfer, joint ventures, industrial collaboration, and market expansion between Pakistan and China. He added that ITIF Asia is playing a vital role in promoting industrial modernization and strengthening business-to-business partnerships.

He further stated that the EPZA Pavilion and the Gilgit-Baltistan Pavilion at Hall 1 have become major centers of attraction for investors and visitors by showcasing investment opportunities and regional industrial potential.

Highlighting the significance of the event, the EPZA Chairman noted that Pakistani industries are rapidly moving toward globally competitive modern technologies. He added that the exhibition at Karachi Expo Center is featuring a wide range of sectors including engineering, energy, machine tools, solar technology, oil and gas, plastics, chemicals, mines and minerals, and advanced industrial machinery.

Freedoon Akram Sheikh emphasized that industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China is reaching new heights and contributing significantly toward economic growth, exports, and technological advancement.

ITIF Asia 2026 is a UFI-approved international exhibition that serves as an important platform for promoting industrial innovation, investment opportunities, and international business collaboration under one roof.
