Country Director World Bank, Mr. Najy Benhassin met Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Makhdoom Khusro Bukhtiar in his offie today. Both discussed priority areas of engagement to strengthen the economic partnership with World Bank in Pakistan. While apprising key features of upcoming industrial policy,Minister urged WB to provide expert advice in policy framework which is focusing on enhancement of local production & exports bandwidth, and import substitution to step up industrialisation process in Pakistan. Mr. Najy, Country Director appreciated role of the Minister for expediting implementation of WB-funded projects in Pak. as Minister to Economic Affairs. He assured that WB wud consider recommendation of Hon’ble Minister for valuable assistance to formulate industrial policy.
